For roofing companies
The storm passes. The phone melts down. Then it's quiet for a month.
Bloombilt answers every call, text, and website chat for your company, takes the address and the damage, and books the inspection. It doesn't get buried at noon after a hailstorm, and it isn't a seat you're paying for when the phone goes quiet.
Live now at Norblom Plumbing, a St. Paul shop that's taken Twin Cities calls for about a hundred years.
The phone is the business.
- 23–30%
- of inbound calls go unanswered at the shops we've measured.
- 80–90%
- of a home-service company's revenue comes in over the phone.
- Most
- callers who hit voicemail don't leave one. They call the next shop on Google.
The calls that get away.
01
Hail comes through at 4pm. By five, every roofer in the metro is fielding the same calls.
02
You're on a roof with a nail gun running. Forty calls come in and you hear none of them.
03
An adjuster calls back mid-claim. Miss it and the file sits another week.
What it does while you work.
- Answers every call, text, and website chat
- Books the job straight onto your calendar
- Texts back the callers who hang up before they reach you
- Works around the clock, including nights and weekends
It tells callers it's an automated assistant, asks what's going on, and writes down the name, the number, and what the job needs. The lead is in your inbox, transcribed, before the call even ends, so you call back with the whole story instead of returning a voicemail blind.
If you've been shopping for a roofing virtual receptionist, this is that. The two names describe the same job and we do the version that books the work rather than just taking a message.
Running live
Norblom Plumbing has answered the Twin Cities' calls for about a hundred years. Now Bloombilt answers the ones the team can't get to, so a call that comes in while everyone's on a job still lands as a lead instead of a voicemail nobody left.
Norblom Plumbing · St. Paul, Minnesota. Our proof is one shop we know well, not a wall of logos.
No package to pick.
Every shop runs differently. Different hours, a different service area, the jobs you take and the ones you don't. We build your front desk around how yours actually works, then quote it. One flat monthly fee, no per-call charges.
We build in Minneapolis, and we show up in person. If you'd rather set this up over coffee than over email, we'll come to you.
Where we work.
We cover the Twin Cities metro. The calls a roofing company misses in a hundred-year-old Minneapolis duplex aren't the calls it misses in a Maple Grove build from 2004, so each city gets its own page.
See what it catches on your own calls.
Fifteen minutes. We'll walk through how it would answer for your shop.
Common questions.
How much does it cost?
Every deployment is custom-quoted, because every shop runs differently. We build the front desk around your hours, your services, and your service area, then give you one flat monthly price. No per-call fees.
What does it sound like on the phone?
A friendly voice that doesn't pretend to be a person. It tells callers it's an automated assistant, asks what they need, and writes the details down. Every conversation lands in your inbox transcribed, so you can read exactly what was said.
Do I have to change my phone number or provider?
No. It runs on top of the phone system you already have. During onboarding we point your unanswered calls at the AI, so it catches the overflow and the after-hours calls instead of letting them roll to voicemail. Your number, your phones, and your provider stay exactly as they are.
Is this an answering service or a virtual receptionist?
Both words describe the same job, and different shops use different ones. An answering service traditionally takes a message; a virtual receptionist is expected to act like your front desk, which means answering questions and booking the work. Ours does the second: it answers, tells the caller what you do and when you can come, books the appointment, and sends you the transcript. Call it whichever you like.
How long until I'm using it?
Most customers are live in two to three weeks from signed agreement.
Will this work with the tools we already use?
Yes. Our products connect to the systems your team already uses: Google Workspace, CRMs, calendars, Slack, email, and other common business tools.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime with reasonable notice. We'll export your data and hand back anything we run for you, like a website or phone number. The rest stays yours.
Where does our data live?
Your data stays yours. It's encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated from every other customer, and never used to train AI models, ours or the third-party services we use to deliver the product. Subprocessor list available on request. Full details in our privacy policy.
